All Boat Safety Examiners

Most privately owned boats on Canal & River Trust waters need a valid Boat Safety Scheme certificate to be licensed, renewed every four years. The examination checks fuel, gas and electrical systems and fire safety, and must be carried out by a BSS examiner.

Many examiners are mobile and come to your boat; the map pin shows their base or the centre of the area they cover. Prices often vary with travel distance, so check before booking.
